Building community through advocacy for T1D

Our core values up close – a community focus

PayTracer Sam J. is an advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF. As the advocate representing Eastern Washington, he had the opportunity to raise awareness for T1D (Type 1 Diabetes) in Washington, D.C. last month.

PayTrace values team members like Sam, for bringing passion and awareness to T1D. We applaud these advocacy efforts and recognize the positive impact this has on our community.

“Over the past few days I’ve had the privilege of representing Eastern Washington for JDRF’s annual Government Day at Capitol Hill. Lately there is a lot of divisiveness throughout the country, but one thing that consistently garners bipartisan support is that DIABETES SUCKS. The JDRF recently secured funding through the Special Diabetes Program for necessary research and clinical trials to ultimately find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, and advocates from across the nation came out to thank their representatives and communicate why this funding is paramount to our cause. I am extremely thankful for every connection I made in DC and look forward to continuing the advocacy effort. I encourage and urge anyone that wants to support this cause through advocacy to check out http://www.jdrf.org/get-involved/jdrf-advocacy/. #jdrfgovday #typenone” – Sam J.
