Product List Upload Now Available in the PayTrace Virtual Terminal

Visa’s new Commercial Enhanced Data Program (CEDP) started last month, with the goal to reduce fraud and improve the quality of the data that is submitted to qualify B2B and B2G transactions for discounted processing rates.

As your B2B payment experts, we launched our new PayTrace Product List feature to help merchants easily add product descriptions and data, supporting Level 3 interchange rate qualification and compliance with CEDP requirements.

You Asked, We Answered: Introducing Product List Upload

Many of our merchants have hundreds, even thousands of items for sale, so one of the top requests we received upon launch was to include the ability to upload a product list. 

That’s why we are excited to announce that we have added an upload section to the Product List feature, which you can begin using today to:

  • Enter your full catalog of products into the PayTrace Virtual Terminal
  • Submit enhanced data with each transaction
  • Comply with Visa’s new CEDP requirements

How to Upload a Product List in the Virtual Terminal

We have updated our step-by-step user guide to walk you through the process of uploading a CSV file of up to 5,000 items to create or update your custom product list. Check it out now and then get started below.

  • Log into the Virtual Terminal at https://paytrace.com/login.pay
  • Click “Account” in the menu on the left
  • Select “Import Enhanced Data
  • Download an example template to ensure your data is formatted correctly
  • Upload your CSV file

All properly formatted product lines will be uploaded to your product list.

If any product line fails, you can download a spreadsheet of the lines that were not successful, which will include the reason for the failure. Simply correct the issue in the downloaded file, re-save the file, and then upload the new file to process the failed product lines.
